About Me:
I was born and raised outside Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (Go Phillies). I went to the University of Delaware where I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics Education in 2015. It was at this point when I decided that I wanted to pursue mathematics further, and so I moved to Winston-Salem, NC to attend Wake Forest University, where I graduated with a Master’s degree in Mathematics in 2017. Before starting my Ph.D., I taught at both a local high school and at Wake Forest University for one year, which ultimately solidified my choice of pursuing my doctorate. I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with my Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics in May 2023 (under Christopher Jones). After my Ph.D., I held a postdoctoral position at Brown University in the Division of Applied Mathematics (working with Bjorn Sandstede). I am now currently an Assistant Professor the Practice at Boston College.
My research interests are applied dynamical systems and noise/rate-induced tipping, with applications to climate science. During my postdoc I took an interest in opinion dynamics and modeling.
Outside of work, I enjoy traveling and camping, painting, gardening, golfing, and spending time with friends and family. I love to play pickleball in the local community. I also have a 3 year-old vizsla (pictured below) who keeps me and my husband very active!
